Why Encourage Students to Have a Library Card?

Children Who Read Succeed

Regular library use helps students develop strong reading habits and the skills they need to succeed in school and throughout life.

Reading Supports Academic Achievement

Literacy is foundational to success across all subject areas. The more children read, the stronger their fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension become.

Access to Reading Materials Matters

Research consistently shows a connection between access to books and educational success. Students who have access to a variety of reading materials are more likely to thrive academically.

Library Cards Open Doors

A library card is the first step toward becoming a lifelong library user. It provides full access to library collections, programs, digital resources, and online learning tools that support curiosity, learning, and personal growth.
