Author events in May
Meet a new or favorite author at your library!
Attend one of our special author events to meet a well-known author like Luis Rodriguez or Marcia Muller. Or, come hear about a life on a California ranch or a road trip to visit California Indian tribes. Library branches around the county feature author events.
New from NextReads: Reading lists for Tweens
NextReads now offers book suggestions by e-mail for middle school aged readers. Subscribe now and receive your first issue in late May.

Book cover previews
We have started adding book cover images to the library catalog. Now, when you search the catalog, your results will include thumbnail preview images for books, books on CD, and videos -- as well as preview images for many of the photos in our local historical photograph collections.
We hope these previews, along with the recently-added markers for "Book," "Book on CD," and other formats, will make it easier to scan through your search results and identify the items of interest to you.
Try it out today in the Library catalog.
